"know from whence you came. if you know whence you came, there are absolutely no limitations to where you can go." - James Baldwin

THE RBMBH & RF 2025 - 2026 COMMITTEE  LEADERS

Building " The 1906 family" for a stronger tomorrow

myron McNeil - President

Myron McNeil carries the deep roots of a proud family lineage. He is the Great-Great-Grandson of Betty Dorcas Clark and Alfred Wellmon, Great-Grandson of Hattie Webber Wellmon and John Wesley Wellmon, Grandson of Eula Wellmon and William Dunlap, and the Son of Elsie Dunlap McNeil and Bill McNeil.

Though baptized and confirmed in both the Roman Catholic and Holy Apostolic Church — where he also received his primary education — Myron has grown into a man of expansive faith. He now serves as an Elder at Unity Spiritual Center of Wilmington, NC, a non-denominational congregation that embraces the Bible through a metaphysical lens of scripture.

Myron's journey has been shaped by three remarkable careers, each a testament to his range and depth of character. He first followed his passion as a musician, playing trumpet in a top 40s band. He then distinguished himself as an architectural and engineering analyst, with a drawing exhibited at Johns Hopkins University in the early 1980s. For thirty-two years, he devoted himself to shaping young minds as a teacher of math and science at the secondary level.

Today, Myron continues to grow — currently pursuing ministerial studies at Unity School of Christianity, walking boldly in the faith that has carried this family since 1906.

Sabriyya Roberts - 1st Vice President

Sabriyya Roberts is the daughter of Edgar Roberts and Shannon Roberts. She is the granddaughter of Howard Roberts Sr. and Blondean Love Roberts, second granddaughter of Ernest Roberts and Alice Mauney, third granddaughter of Nelson and Margaret Roberts, and third granddaughter of Wesley and Naomi Mauney. Her family lineage traces back as far as her fifth great grandparent, Silvy.

She is from Kings Mountain, North Carolina, where she currently resides. Sabriyya earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and has a strong desire to continue pursuing higher education in the medical field. She currently works as a Patient Navigator at Kintegra Health and serves on call as a Campus Supervisor at Holy Angels, where she enjoys helping others and supporting the differently abled.

Sabriyya is family oriented and enjoys spending quality time with friends and loved ones. She is an avid donor and volunteers in her spare time. She also enjoys discovering fun new activities and making meaningful memories with those closest to her.
Currently serving as 1st Vice President of the family reunion, Sabriyya is passionate about helping the reunion grow, preserving the family lineage, and continuing its legacy for future generations. She is committed to bringing fresh ideas, new energy, and meaningful ways to keep the family connected for years to come.

briana A. roberts, MS - website coordinator

Briana Roberts is a proud descendant of a lineage rooted in strength and legacy. She is the daughter of Donald Lee Roberts and Alessia Harris Roberts and the granddaughter of Howard Roberts Sr. and Blondean Love Roberts. The great-great-granddaughter of Wesley and Naomi Mauney, the great-great-great-granddaughter of Priscilla Mauney, and the descendant of Kitty Bird Roberts and Big George Roberts — names that echo through the generations of this reunion with pride.

A Kings Mountain, NC native now rooted in Winston-Salem, NC, Briana holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management and a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management from the University of Denver, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science with a minor in Environmental Science from Wake Forest University.
Professionally, Briana has built an impressive career specializing in Corporate Sustainability and Supply Chain at HanesBrands Inc., where she currently holds the title of Demand Planning Analyst for Bali, Maidenform and Playtex.

Yet it is Briana's heart for community that truly defines her. As a high school student in Kings Mountain, NC, she raised 29 chickens, donating their eggs weekly to a homeless and needy kitchen and to elderly neighbors — a quiet act of love that ignited a lifelong commitment to service. She also volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club, mentoring and tutoring the next generation of leaders. That same spirit carries forward today through her community outreach and diversity initiatives at HanesBrands, where she leads with purpose — honoring those who came before her while building a brighter future for those who follow.

Sandra Harris our RBMHB & RF Reunion Secretary is descended from Emmanuel Roberts. She is the daughter of Verna Webber (Patterson, Ricker), the granddaughter or Sam Henderson Webber and Rossie Rudisill Webber, the great granddaughter of Georgia Roberts Rudisill and York Rudisill, the great, great granddaughter of Benjamin and Sophia DameronRoberts, and the great, great, great granddaughter of Emmanuel Roberts, one of the enslaved men living on the plantation with the Seven Sisters.

Sandra was born in North Carolina but grew up in Boston. She is a graduate of Brown University in Providence RI and received her MBA from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Sandra spent most of her professional career as technology leader in the consumer products sector. She headed technology organizations at Johnson and Johnson, Nabisco, and Maidenform. Her portfolio broadened when she joined the Ford Foundation and became the head administrator. When she retired from the Ford Foundation, she retooled and began to focus on the arts. She attended NYU and became a qualified art appraiser. She worked at Rago Arts and Auction House in Lambertville, she was a gallerist at New Hope Art Center in PA and she had her own art advisory practice.

As a volunteer Sandra has served on many non profit boards. She is an emeritus trustee of the Wardlaw Hartridge School Board and The Financial Resources Federal Credit Union. She also served on the Board of Passage Theatre in Trenton NJ and is presently on the Board of Collective
Consciousness Theatre New Haven CT. Besides being the Reunion Committee Secretary, Sandra produces the family e-newsletter. One of her favorite pastimes is researching our family history and sharing the stories she discovers.
