Howard Barnette Roberts, Sr. the son of the late Ernest and Alice Roberts was born March 16, 1929 and departed his life November 24, 2008.

Howard attended and graduated from Lincoln Academy in Gaston County.

Howard was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, North Carolina, where he served as a Trustee; a member of the Layman League and was also over the Cemetery Committee for many years. One thing he really looked forward to and enjoyed was the Annual Men’s Day Program, where he loved to cook.

Howard was employed as a supervisor at FMC, formerly Lithium Corporation of America, where he retired after 38 years of employment. He was also an in-active member of the Masonic Lodge. Howard was well known in the community as a farmer who shared with everyone.

Howard was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred M. Bridges and Helen E. Kibler and one brother Vaughn Gardie Roberts.

Howard was married to the late Blondean Love Roberts who preceded him in death and to this union he leaves to cherish loving memories, his sons Howard B. Roberts, Jr. (Sarah), Donald L. Roberts (Alessia), Edgar E. Roberts (Shannon), Gary C. Roberts (Arlene), all residing in Kings Mountain, North Carolina and Sister-In-Law Gwendolyn Roberts of Hampton, Virginia.

Grandchildren, Shawn Roberts, Brent Roberts, Jarvis Roberts, Briana Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Chad Roberts, Tiana Roberts, Jamil Roberts, Cemal Roberts, Sabriyya Roberts, Zahra Roberts and Jalen Roberts.

Great-Grandchildren, Tiffany Roberts, Sierra Roberts, Alyson Roberts, Chance Roberts, Aaron Roberts, Cenaa Roberts and Cemora Roberts, special nephew Kenneth Norton, Sr., and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
